Causes of DVT:
- Obesity
- Varicose Veins
- History of other Pulmonary Embolism
- Vitamin K deficiency
One’s diet and daily lifestyle are 2 important key roles in determining the chances of getting the disease. For instance, a person whose diet consists of food high in cholesterol and fats, and low in fibre would have a higher chance of getting DVT than someone who eats mostly fruits & vegetables.
